Welcome to the SPOT+ web site!
The purpose of the SPOT+ project is to analyse and develop university students' views on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) for teaching and learning. The possibilities for ICT to radically change academic learning are as yet unused, and targeted action is needed to make such change happen. Students are the most important group in bringing about these changes, and decisions must be taken by students and not only for students. Therefore, the SPOT+ project has adopted a bottom-up perspective, involving students at universities across Europe to explore the role and potential of ICT in the development of Higher Education.
This site has been produced at the end of a two year project, running from 1.10.01 till 31.12.03, co-funded by the SOCRATES-Minerva Programme of the Directorate for Education and Culture, European Commission. It is hoped that students (and anyone else interested in joining the discussion) will use the Discussion Forum to express their views.
A SOCRATES (MINERVA) project supported by the European Commission.
